Day by Day

A board game about living with chronic illness

"Day by Day" is an in-development board game about getting through the week while dealing with chronic illness. Originally designed for able-bodied players to understand some of the emotional logistics required to survive with a chronic illness, "Day by Day" also aims to provide differently able players a heroic fantasy. Players work together to complete their to-do lists in order to prepare for a weekend adventure with each other while managing their emotional, physical, and mental resources as well as stress and symptoms. The game systems challenge the players to adapt to their body's changing needs, build a supportive and energizing community, and manage their resources in order to complete their duties and dreams.
